Dance Experience
I have been dancing since I was 15. I started at National Capital Ballet School. After 3 years there I went to New Zealand School of Dance to study Ballet and Contemporary. During my second year I seconded with the Royal New Zealand Ballet, an amazing experience. I performed with NATCAP and NZSD during their end of year shows and have work with QL2 youth company, here in Canberra, in some of their shows as well
Teaching Experience
I have been teaching since the start of 2020.

Classical ballet
Acrobatics
Occasionally Contemporary
What is your favourite group to teach?
I really enjoy teaching my 14 to 18-year-olds — they are genuinely interested and invested in dance and are a pleasure to teach.
What is your style of teaching?
I generally try to be calm and encouraging to my students but also implement discipline and focus in my classes
What inspires you when it comes to choreographing?
I usually use the music and how it makes me feel when I choreograph. I also watch videos of pro dancers for routines/specific techniques.
What do you love most about dance?
I love the ability to move and express yourself and explore emotion with the body.
What do you love most about teaching?
I love being able to help my students improve.
What are your top tips for students to get the most out of class?
Take the initiative — when a teacher shows you something, practise it. Ask questions if you are confused, think about the exercise and pick things to work on that you felt didn’t go well.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I love gaming and fantasy, I’m a huge nerd about this stuff.
Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
My mum, always been there for me and has been a really grounding force.
Tell us about your personal fashion style.
I like ripped jeans and chinos. I like wearing simple jewellery and really like tattoos, shirts are usually simple but have some novelty ones I like to bring out from time-to-time.
What’s your favourite quote?
“Ain’t nobody gonna hit as hard as life”
“You get back up, keep on coming, that’s how winning is done”
(Sylvester Stallone)
Where would you go on your dream holiday?
Up to a quiet cabin in the mountains with my closest friends and explore, hunt, laugh and enjoy nature.
