ROLE: Technical Teacher
Dance Experience
Lily grew up in Cheshire, England. She formally trained and graduated in July 2015 from Elmhurst Ballet School in association with the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Whilst training she was delighted to have toured and performed with BRB in David Bintley’s Mozartiana and danced in school productions of William Forsythe’s Second Detail, as well as other classical ballets such as Sir Frederick Ashton’s Birthday Offering which was rehearsed by Maina Gielgud. Lily was an all-round dancer and was honoured to have been awarded most versatile dancer twice throughout her formal training at Elmhurst.
Lily graduated Elmhurst in 2015 and embarked on her professional career in Canada at Alberta Ballet II, where she performed and toured in Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet and some smaller contemporary pieces.
Following her year in Alberta Ballet II, Lily moved to Vancouver to go down a more contemporary dance pathway. During her training at Arts Umbrella, Lily was fortunate enough to work with choreographers such as Crystal Pite, who was creating new material for the Royal Ballet.
When her career was cut unexpectedly short due to injury, she decided to take time away from the dance world and travel. Ending up in Canberra late 2017, she began her teaching career at Dance Central.
Lily is delighted to be immersed in the dance world again and has been working closely with our students on their ballet technique. Lily is one of the RAD teachers and preps our students for their exams,
