Q&A with Morgan

What styles of dance do you teach?

I can teach Jazz, Contemporary and Lyrical. I’m currently teaching Tap.

What inspires you when it comes to choreographing?

My students and the music. I like to choreograph off what my students can do the best and then push their boundaries.

What do you love most about dance?

The expressive nature of it. Doesn’t matter what style of dance you’re doing, there’s always a story to be told.

What do you love most about teaching?

I love seeing my students’ improvement throughout the year. It doesn’t have to be a physical improvement either. I love mental improvement the most.

What are your top tips for students to get the most out of class?

Concentration, dedication and determination

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Watching my brother play AFL. I’m his biggest fan!

Who has been the biggest influence on your life?

Two people: my great grandmother, who used to tell me stories about her time on the stage, and my mother — her passion and determination influence me every day.

What’s your favourite quote?

Bloom wherever you are planted.

Where would you go on your dream holiday?

New York. I love sitting on the red stands in time square and just people watch. Never know what cool choreography you’ll come up with when you just sit and watch the world.
