Dance Experience
I have a long history of jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, ballroom and Latin American dance. Having studied primarily BBO and RAD syllabus I have sat many examinations but my real passion was in the art of creativity in dance. I absolutely love bringing this passion to others and for them to feel and express their emotions through dance.

What got you into teaching?
In the younger years, it was to help the principal of the studio but once I left school it was a passion of mine to share this with others.
What styles of dance do you teach?
Currently, tap dance but have taught ballroom, Latin American, jazz, contemporary, hip hop in the last.
What is your favourite group to teach?
Currently teaching adults but no matter the age I love bringing the passion of dance to others
What is your style of teaching?
Haha. Definitely goofy as when I put my two shoes on something crazy comes over me.
What inspires you when it comes to choreographing?
Other people in this field that have the same passion (Tap). Music also inspires me. I can listen to 100 songs and then that one will hit me and then the creativity starts to flow.
What do you love most about dance?
The ability to be creative and share my passion for dance
What do you love most about teaching?
When my students all pull together and sound in unison and create the sound I am aiming for. Makes me yell with excitement
What are your top tips for students to get the most out of class?
Bring an open mind. Lose your inhibitions and be the best YOU you can be. Dance is about feeling the music, understanding the movement and bringing your flare.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Fine dining (recommend a restaurant I am there)
Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
Definitely my parents. Wise, strong and always there
